Linda Sébéo Cohu lives in West Cork, working mainly with found materials such as bogwood and driftwood in their natural forms inserting figurative elements in other materials to animate these. The inspiration for her work comes from the world of dreams and its interplay with the world of nature.

French sculptor Linda Sébéo Cohu studied at the Beaux Arts de Paris and at Art College in Oslo, was apprentice with a woodcarver in Norway, and then came to live in the mountains of West Cork in 1980.
She is continually experimenting and exploring sculptural forms in small scale. Working mainly with wood and clay, she also uses found materials such as bog wood and drift wood in their natural forms inserting figurative elements in ceramic, wood and/or copper, gold leaf… to animate these. The inspiration for her work comes from the world of dreams and from nature combining where the materials and the images guide the final form.
